Knowledge procession is one of the emphases of natural language understanding(NLU). Aiming at the collision between great capacity and management of knowledge,this paper puts forward the Conceptual Dependency Tree (CDT), by which to managethe knowledge of a given domain and improve its efficiency. First, The theories and status quo of NLU are introduced. Second, The theories ofknowledge and Knowledge Represent are stated in detail. Meanwhile, the CDT model ispresented. Third, the relation between abstract knowledge and concrete knowledge isanalyzed deeply, and the characteristics of CDT are explained with examples. Forth,The CDT is realized in java. Last, the model is applied to the mechanical transmissionsystem and the results are satisfactory.
