Semantic Analysis is the key of whether sentence processing can get breakthrough or not. Semantic Analysis has played such an important role in NLU (Natural Language Understand). In this paper, Semantic analysis of prepositions in NLU is discussed . And it is applied to the early stage of the product design such as demand analyses in this paper. And it offers support for the follow-up design.At first,The characteristic and the actuality of nature language understanding is introduced,conceptual dependency theory is chosen as the foundation of the semantic analysis. Second, the difficulty and importance of semantic analysis of preposition in CNLU (Chinese Natural Language Understand) is analyzed. Digging its semantic information in text will improve semantic analysis in CNLU.Third,the semantic processing of preposition in abbreviation sentence and the semantic relationship of prepositions among pronoun,quantifiers,collection substantive are introduced. On the base of concluding and classifying the common prepositions, semantic analysis models and procedures of different kinds of preposition are established and some analysis programs have been added, which realize semantic analysis of preposition in CNLU.Last , semantic analysis of prepositions is applied to requirement analysis archetypal system for planar linkage mechanism. Base on the understanding and analysis of the user demand, the analysis result is transferred to concept design request. Semantic analysis program is written and it runs well after debugging.
