Taking the case of Cable Ship Fu Xing, this dissertation clarified the importance of implementing Integrated Supervisory System on ships. The paper also expatiated the principle and design of the system. By giving many examples, it introduced the concept of local supervisory and remote supervisory, and design of local supervisory and control interface. It described the structure of remote computer control system, clarified the set-up of Web-server. The paper expatiated how to communicate the onboard Web-server from a shore work station as well as from a PDA ashore.This paper has made the following conclusions:(1) Completed the integration of equipment modules on Fu Xing such as main engine system, rudder system, water-fuel-air supply system, navigation lamps system, cabin lighting system, liquid indication system and water temperature control system via the PLC s into supervisory system.(2) Completed the design of local supervisory and control interface. By introducing the concept of real-time multi-task operating system, it analyzed working condition of supervisory and control interface, and clarified the theory of priority and sequence strategy.(3) Completed the basic design of remote supervisory system. Completed the set-up of web-server. By using the technology of embedding Active X program into Web pages and combining PC and PDA (Personal Digital Assistant), via the ASP (Active Server Page) Web page program, it achieved the target of integrating the overall vessel supervisory system into Internet.
