With the advancement of the nation and the progress of the society, there have been great development in the industry, the agriculture and the other field. But the industry especially the traditional industry is still far behind in our country, such as steel, chemical engineering, coal, and etc. In the same time, with the development and maturation of the computer technique, the communication technique and the advanced control theories, that all of them having been applied to the industry automation control can improve the enterprise automation and information integration and can enhance the ability of competition and the rate of production. Referring to the control thought and strategy of TIA (Totally Integrated Automation) and contacting to the automation and integration of the enterprise, the thesis designed and developped supervisory control system for XLPE power cable and wire.The development history of the Industry Automation Control and the trend in future show that the advance of the level of the Industry Automation Control is closed to the science and technical development. SLOT PLC of Siemens Co. was adopted as the core of the control system.The data in the device layer communicates via PROFIBUS-DP, which controled the device distributedly, reduced the work of laying the cable and wire and enhanced the stability of the control system..OPC technology came into existence ten years ago, but it supported by many users and manufacturers. The upper supervisory control software which communicates with OPC Server via OPC DA interface can read and write the information of the workshop. We summarized the OPC technology, at the same time, analyzed the principle of OPC DA asynchronous read/write deeply.The supervisory control system software which can enhance the ability of information integration was developped in the Visual C++ IDE, it can handle, save and print the data.The temperature control, including the extructors and the XLPE tube was the main part of the control system, which adopted the PID closed loop control. But during the debugging and running we found that tuning the PID parameters is difficulty and the stabilization of routine PID control is infirm. So we offered the Fuzzy self-tuning PID control and simulated it by MATLAB software, and we achieved the anticipated result. In the last, we offer anthor project and compare them.
