With the development of national highway construction, cement mattess,with its wonderful performance,has gradually taken a equal part as bituminous road surface, extending the road day by day.However,factors such as construction,climate,road load and maintenance and so on can make cement mattess fragile, degrading the road surface performance and reducing the traffic capacity. It should be modified as quick as possible.But, now there are still no uniform plans or standards to be followd for road surface modifying, which has been the common issue for researchers all over the world.Firstly,cement mattess damage is investigated in express way between Haerbin and Dalian;Secondly, analysis is made;lastly,modification method is proposed.This paper consist of four chapters,of which chapter2 and chapter3 are the paper's key bone.Chapter 1 introduces the Research background,reasons for common defect on mattess,what has been achieved on modifying materials research inside &outside of our country,and main content of this paper.How to modify the defect of mattess is an common issue in the world.In countries out of China, colophony or Polymer modified psalm is used;and uing polymer modified concrete and fibre concrete is the hot issue;in China, polymer modified materials are usually used to modify split or mattess, concrete,it is strong earlier and hard faster is used to modify the road plates. Research on fiber concrete is still in developing stage,however,for its special quality and high cost,it is very hard to be adopted in practice.Thus,it is very important to research and develop a new type of fast modifying cement mattess.Chapter 2 is the keystone in this paper.It introduces the common modifying methods for one type of the mattess damages-road plate damage. Traditional cementmattess,although low cost and familiared with by workers,is poor bonded and fragile, can shrink when dry,degrading the modifying level and resulting in repeat modification.Mattess modification structure is analyzed based on mechanics. Confirmation is made that traditional modification structure, for the existence of forces,can be splited at the joining place when sustaining the traffic,and also,for the deforming deference between old and new concrete,split will be made and then surface water oozes,destroying the whole road plate. Thus,new modifying mothod–using swelling glue strip to separate the plate modified and the former plate to let the old and the new plates sustain the forces independently-is proposed.Based on the analysis of the modification structure using ANSYS, conclusion is made that the glue strip can lessen the stress between the new and the old plates ,blocking the split generating. Glue strip can swell when encountered with water;sweller can make concrete swell slightly,thus,both of the above can be used to play a very important role in highway modification.Chapter3 is another keystone,it introduces the modifying method for the split of mattess.To make the two separated plates together,certain material needs to be filled into the split.Theories on split modifying are mainly high polymer stuffing theory and fiber break blocking theory.By now,high polymer theory is mainly used. Polymer modified material is adopted to fill the split,but,for its high cost,it is difficult to be used widely. In this paper, Self-compacting concrete is made firstly,then Polymer modified concrete is made by changing the property of Self-compacting concrete. Experiment implies that with polymer dashed with,the concrete is less fragile and more tenacity,stronger to counter deformation and stress. The bond stress of Polymer modified concrete and common self-compacting concrete are respectively 1.37 MPa and 0.90 MPa,corresponding to 37% and 24.3% in split stress of the old concrete.Both of them are well bonded, tenacious,easy to use,no pollution,meeting most of therequirements. Lastly,according to economic analysis,using orthogonal experimentation and polymer modified concrete can save the cost by 50% in comparison to the common concrete.Chapter4 is the last in the paper, in this chapter,conclusion is made and further research aspects are proposed.
