At new economic stage in the 21st century, the function and construction of the old city could not adapt to the possession in our country course of the economics developed rapidly, so the optimization of the urban space structure of the old city became an important discussion during the growing of the city in our country.In the view of the present situation of Chinese old city renewal, and based on the theory study of urban space structure, this article reveals the evolution of the urban space structure of the old city in Anqing, and discusses the evolution mechanism, analyzes the problems, puts forward its optimization schemes and countermeasures.
