The conventional design of PID controller for DC motor speed adjustment system relies on the mathematical model of controlled object excessively. It is unsuitable to the higher system requests for the bad robustness of the parameters and the capability of eliminating the disturbance from load. This paper incorporates the fuzzy control theory into DC motor speed adjustment system. It uses advantages of two kind of controls thought of PID control and fuzzy control. It replaces the conventional PID controller with the fuzzy PID controller for overcoming the disadvantage of the conventional method and improves the system performance by realizing the real-time, robustness, high accuracy and so on.The speed adjusting approach for DC motor based on fuzzy control is presented in this paper. It designs and realizes the method of DC motor speed adjustment system based on fuzzy control. In this foundation The principle and strategy of the comprehensive control that combines fuzzy control with classic PID control method and the realization plan is given. The simulation and the corresponding research about the fuzzy control and fuzzy adaptive control for the disturbance of load and altering the motor's parameters in DC motor system is carried on by using MATLAB/Simulink. It provides the science basis for the optimum control plan.The results show that the comprehensive control is an available method to improve the performance of the adjustment system.
