Road transport is an essential public transport mode in modern society. In recent years, road construction developed very quickly in China. The pavement construction machinery act as very important roles in road construction, but the medium segregation phenomenon appeared during large using of those machines. The medium segregation phenomenon is a main reason for early road destruction. So it's very necessary to make a research on the medium segregation phenomenon during pavement construction machinery working and to make some correlated modify on the design of those machines.Firstly this thesis makes a classification on the road: flexible pavement and rigid pavement.For flexible pavement, this thesis made research and analysis on the medium segregation phenomenon,and made a conclusion that unsteady speed and the irregular motion of the screed plate is the main reason for segregation.
