With the development of the economy and attention to the environment, the requisition of the engine is also enhanced in the society. The diesel engine becomes one of the popular powers because of its high thermal efficiency and low harmfulness emission. The widespread utility of the diesel engine needs a high performance of rotary speed control system of the diesel engine. In order to design the control system, one of the most important works is to build the mathematical model of the diesel engine. Modeling and simulation of the diesel engine and its control system design are key technologies in their developments.In the dissertation, the mathematical model of in-cylinder working process is deduced according to in-cylinder working characteristic of the diesel engine. The mathematical model of speed controller and injection pump is deduced according to the equation of their movement. Finally, the whole model is complete according to the control system. In the non-liner model, the rack displacement is its input, and the speed is its output.At the same time, the simulation of the diesel engine was completed in the SIMULINK on the basis of the model of the diesel engine.
