How to confirm the auto body packaging is the keystone during the whole vehicle layout design process. It decides the vehicle technology lever and styling type. Field of vision, ride comfortable, safety and operation advantage etc must be put in the first place during the packaging project; all of these factors must be according to the principle of ergonomics.Vehicle body general layout is a very important design work in the conceptual design phase. It is an entire process design work which is cross-cutting from the merchandise planning car until the mass production. It is a repeated consultations and adjustment process. In the vehicle body layout process, there are many parameters and control hard point needed to determine. Spatial relations and constraints is complex. Implementation and evaluation is fuzzy. Design program has multiple solutions, and it is experiential and integrated. Even in a good CAD environment, successful design is largely dependent on the knowledge and experience of the designers. How to layout vehicle body efficiently is yet to be solved in the whole vehicle design cycle.By accumulate and analyze several kinds of car packaging parameter, using auto body layout tools such as manikin, eyellipse, head contour and hand-reach envelop to design Hafei new model sedan based on the requirement of the layout project. In this paper, minivan packaging principle and design flow is confirmed, the relationship between ergonomics, field vision, riding comfortable, safety and operation advantage are discussed and analyzed in detail. At last using the theory above designed Hafei new kind's minivan packaging optimization.Overseas, ergonomics used more widely and more mature in the internal layout of the car body. The two standards, SAE and the EEC, are being widely adopted international. In this aspect, Japan has also formulated its own standards. Ergonomics late start on the domestic research, but also to do some work, such as measurement statistic and analysis of the model of the human body publicize the Chinese adult body size standards. These have played some promote role in ergonomics. Hafei Automobile Ltd. has made efforts in this regard. Recent years we associate with the Italian Pinifarina company and hasbeen successful in developing the Hafei's car which have independent intellectual property such as Hafei Zhongyi, Hafei Lubo and Hafei Saibao. In the process, we accumulated a lot of advanced design experience, and on this basis we independent develop Hafei Minyi and some new cars which are awaiting production. It can be said that Hafei company has possess a fairly strength in independent development of automobile area.Research and application of ergonomics are the most direct measures to improve vehicle performance. Particularly is the improvement of driving conditions and ride environment is notable, this is the design theory of body interior layout. Interior design of modern vehicle considers from the theory of "people - vehicle-environment system". Not only the chairs, panels and all the size and shape location of control devices base on the basic tenets of ergonomics, but also the size of the space inside is decided by the human dimension and the interior color and texture are also designed to meet the psychological needs of the people psychological request, so as to achieve a comfortable feel to the passenger. In short, body layout must provide a comfortable interior space, well control ability, ride convenient and the ability to protect the passengers.In the body layout design, we should take person -- cars -- road as a system to study. During design a car's performance it is necessary to take full account of the factors of person, the connection of person -- cars such as body size, the physical and psychological characteristics, the habits of people -- cars, and also taking into account the characteristics of road transport. Arrangement for total body, taking into account the road -- cars -- a comprehensive system optimization. Reasonable ergonomic layout design is not only related to the effective use of space and improve vehicle ride comfort. It would also affect the car inner, outer styling and the whole vehicle parameters, further affect vehicle performance and market competitiveness.Ergonomic engineering design use design methods and tools of SAE. Ergonomics apply to Auto Body layout increasingly broad and matures. SAE and the EEC are two standards widely used at the auto design. Japan and Germany in this regard has also formulated its own standards. The rapid development of CAD technology in today's cars abroad has internal layout from 2D to 3D, and also from general CADto the development of a knowledge-based CAD engineering (KBE) design. RAMSIS software developed by Volkswagen of Germany to establish a detailed three-dimensional model of the human body and to provide reference period. Users can also build their own data under their own 3D models of the human body. The software is a very broad scope of applicable. The automobile, for instance, it can under certain constraints such as the H-point and seating reference point (SgRP) coincidence to define the model of the human body showing the latter for comfort analysis, vision analysis, but it encompasses the hands and feet of the nature of inspection.This paper go deep into understanding of the general layout of the vehicle body and ergonomics theory, relevant laws and regulations and standards at home and abroad. And then it be applied to car body design work.In this paper, based on ergonomics principles around the body layout, In view of the internal use of CATIA software to establish a practical H-point for the development of the vehicle body internal layout to database systems and applications. By collecting several kinds of vehicle types and data acquisition and measurement point hard-point, combined with general layout of the relevant body of Combination of international and domestic laws and regulations, using CATIA and UG software to set up a complete vehicle body design flow theory and the internal layout of the way. By using it we can design structure of human body, Safety higher so that the vehicle design standards converge with international auto industry has great practical significance.
