Research On Vehicle Packaging Base On Ergonomics

Vehicle ergonomics studies the driver and passenger-vehicle-environment system,focusing on improving the working condition for driver and the comfort for passenger,aiming to safe,health,comfort and high-efficiency for the driver and passenger,in order to make the overall performance of the whole system achieve the best.Vehicle package is an entire processed design work during the program process,based on the advanced technology,the rational product and the requirement of user,vehicle package choice performance,quality and the main dimension parameter.Vehicle package provide vehicle parameter,design requirement and vehicle performance.Ergonomics layout design not only relate to the package of internal parts and car's space and ride comfortableness,but Also impact internal and external modeling dimensions,and further affect the vehicle's overall performance and marketability.So during the packaging project,field of vision,ride comfortableness,convenience for operation must be insured according to the principle of ergonomics.Along with the development of computer technology,vehicle package has achieved transition from 2D to digital design CAD,and application of DMU analysis,simultaneous engineering,collision simulation and motion simulation,etc.From the view of the packaging,by taking the practical packaging experience of them,based on SAE(Society of Automotive Engineers)standard,this paper make the general summary and the deep research in the operation standard,tool and method of the whole car packaging and in which the application of vehicle ergonomics effects.Taking CATIA,Ramsis and UG as the platform,by applying the vehicle ergonomics tools(Hip point,eyellipse,head contour,hand touch interface and dummy digital model) to interior space of passenger compartment,ride comfort,passenger vision,the spare parts visibility,the spare parts operability and convenience of getting on and off,to explain the significance of vehicle ergonomics to vehicle design.The summary and study on the packaging in this paper have the practical significance for enterprises to save cost,shorten vehicle development time,and optimize the research and developing process.
