Investigation On Parking Lot Planning Of Xi'an

In view that vehicle plays an important part in modern city and the parking problem of vehicles can be put into the category of static transportation, hereinto, organization of static transportation will attach great influence to urban transportation and life space of people. Associating with parking facility plan of Xi'an and parking plan and research of several other cities, on basis of numerous investigation data and references, this paper carries on research on the urban integral layout of parking lots, layout approach of urban parking lots, classification of transportation districts and parking demand forecast of transportation districts etc. at the same time it put forward a corresponding solution to the parking demand forecast of various transportation districts.The paper combines qualitative and quantitative analysis. Firstly, it carries on analysis on the transportation character of Xi'an, which mainly focuses on the space investigation of parking space and efficiency of parking lots, then according to the result from the investigation, to make a summary on the shortage of traditional parking planning. On the second part, in terms with the integral developing strategy of Xi'an, the paper makes discussion on the layout principle of urban parking lots of Xi'an and puts forwards that planning of transportation districts should be divided in complying with characters of landuse, combining with the comprehensive planning of Xi'an Basing on parking demand of overall parking demand of Xi'an and research of farsight development rules, the paper divides transportation districts into four kinds of districts, namely as transportation district priority to public facilities, transportation district priority to inhabitation, transportation district priority to industry and transportation district priority to storage. On basis of the four categories, the division is detailed with analysis of parking demand in terms of characters of the city and layout of Xi'an parking facilities is probed into, on general, which can be divided into public parking facilities and self - contained parking spaces. This paper carries on a discussion about on - road and road exterior parking approach, on consideration of administrative laws and regulations. Additionally, In terms of residential area planning, this paper explores approaches of newly built ones and old ones. Hereinto. taking South Avenue and designing plan of "Zhujiang New Town", referring to experience of some foreign countries, the paper puts forward simple forecast on unitlization of Xi'an parking lot planning in practical project.
