Steel reinforced concrete (SRC)special-shaped columns which shape including T, L and across-shaped (+)encased with steel frame,and accompany with some reinforcement.As the new emerging structural form,its mechanical property is seldom studied at present. The shear-bearing capacity of SRC special-shaped columns is studied based on the experiment,the main contents of this paper are as follows:1.According to the distribution of shearing stress,the flange effect for T, L and across-shaped (+)columns in different directions is analyzed, the value of flange influence coefficient 9 is given.2. The factors which affect shear-bearing capacity of SRC special-shaped columns are analyzed, the mechanics of shearing strength is represented, shear-bearing formulae for full-web type SRC special-shaped columns which under the destroy of shearing-baroclinic and shearing-bonding is derived, and shear- bearing formulae for lattice type SRC special-shaped columns is presented according to the achievement which had been studied by the universal scholars. The comparison between theoretical results and experimental results shows satisfactory agreement.3. The relationship between bilateral shear-bearing capacity and loading direction for T, L and across-shaped (+) columns is given based on experiment, the formulae for bilateral shear-bearing capacity of T, L and across -shaped (+) columns is derived, the applied range of over-strength factor method is analyzed. The comparison between theoretical results and experimental results shows satisfactory agreement.4. The flexural crack loading and shearing crack loading when SRC special-shaped columns under one-way or bilateral shearing resistance are analyzed, the formulae for plastic resistance moment are presented, the formulae of the flexural crack loading and shearing crack loading for the full-web type and the lattice type SRC special-shaped columns are derived according to the achievement of SRC columns which had been studied by the universal scholars. The comparison between theoretical results and experimental results shows satisfactory agreement.
