Study On Design Methods And The System Of Quality Assessment Of The City Streets

The author is setting out from studying the history and the development of the city streets, and then the author makes an analysis on the elements and characters of street's space form. Using the theory of urban design, the author study the design methods of street's space form. From analyzing the one-sidedness,monotony and disadvantages of present urban street design, the author puts up the importance of using pre-design and iconography design during our work. At the same time, the author makes the first explore in the system of assessment based on the study about the design of street, at last bat not the least, the author provides the principle and the main elements of the system of assessment, so as to work out the internal relationship of street comprehension and creation of street dign and assessment of design. So, it is the author's will that the article could do some favor to guide the practice of creation activity.
