Studies Of Distribution Automation System And Its Communication Modes

A brief introduction is carried on the Distribution Automation System (DAS), including the basic concept, current development, system functions, system configuration, benefit analysis, and the requirement analysis of DAS for the communication systems.The concepts and characteristic of several communication modes are intrduced for the cable transmission communication and the wireless transmission communication modes. The advantages and disadvantages of different kind of communication modes of DAS at present are summarized based on such foundation. It presents the selection methods of the DAS in detail.Other application of the DAS is introduced in this thesis, such as the communication protocol, layerd procession, communication management, relay transmission, channel reserve.In this thesis, the present characteristics, application and realization of the optical fiber communication in the DAS are discussed.Based on the introduction of the GPRS technology, it is proposed that the GPRS communication mode is suitable for the DAS application with long distance, distributed structure, frequent data transmission and less quantity of data. The communication scheme based on GPRS is feasible and necessary. The scheme and connection mode are determined for a practical city distribution automation system.In view of above analysis and the present situation of the DAS in Xiayi Power Supply Bureau, the overall plan of DAS is given in details. from several aspects, inclding the function plan, communication layer, network topology, communication medium and the implementation step. The construction direction and goal of the DAS in Xiayi Power Supply Bureau are elaborated, which provides a grand blueprint for the development of Xiayi Power Supply Bureau DAS.Finally, the current development trendency of the DAS is discussed. It is achived from the mode analysis that, the most superior combination of advanced practical communication modes should be selected from the comprehensive economical and technical indices.
