Research On Application Of GPRS Technology To Distribution Automation

According to the requirements of distribution automation (DA) on communication system, a new solution of using GPRS communication technique to transmit the DA information is proposed. It is obtained by analyzing the actual communication techniques adopted by DA. In this paper, the principle of GPRS communication technique is introduced, and the feasibility of the applying GPRS to the DA communication system is analyzed and discussed in detail. The solution is designed, examined and analyzed. This paper put forward a new technical application and solution on transmit the DA information, and established the foundation of speeding the development of DA.
