Research And Development Of NC Program Teaching System Oriented Networked Manufacturing

With the widely usage of the computer technology, the main tendency of the CNC machines is the intelligent network. In traditional teaching of CNC machine, students must operate and program with the true machines. It wastes working time of equipments, and often involving uncertain danger that makes expensive equipments mangle. In recent years, some CNC machine teaching systems come forth. However, most of them pay attention to teaching and simulation alone, and few of them considers of teaching combining with manufacture. The systems can not satisfy the requirement of intelligent networked control and teaching about CNC machine.According to the problems above, this paper gives a detail research to FANUC 0i CNC system. It uses RS-232C series interface as a communication interface. The paper use Visual Basic 6.0 as empolder tool and Access 2003 as database, and develop a kind of NC program system that combine teaching with manufacturing.This paper puts forward the development system of open CNC teaching system, and discusses both the hardware design and software design of this system. Moreover the paper analyses the key technology and the main modules.Researching on some kinds of topology which is usually used and using an economic and viable networked project applies with CNC workshop which is in existence, thus makes it fit the requirement of networked teaching and manufacturing. The paper provides the project that realizes the remote control of CNC machine and NC program networked transferring.Researching on technology of serial communication, and according to the condition and requirement the paper confirms working mode, controlling mode and connection method according to different system. The paper structures platform of hardware, introducing protocol conversion uniting web strategy to get over the CNC machine with RS-232 serial.Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 is used as empolder tool. Function and user interface are designed. NC program teaching software is developed, too. By it, NC program can be checked and working track of machine tool can be simulated. Moreover NC program can be transferred from PC to CNC machine.The exploration and study of this system have got great success. It runs stably, and is convenient to be maintained and interface is friendly and intuitional. Through experiment, it is satisfied.
