Abstract/Summary:
Active magnetic bearing (AMB) is a kind of novel high-performance bearing, in which rotor can be suspended stably by controllable magnetic force and realize contact-free property between rotor and stator. Due to its advantages of no friction, no wear, no lubrication and longevity, AMB is widely applied in industries. With the development of magnetic bearing technology, the manufacturing and series design are the necessary direction. Under this condition, it's important significant to found the virtual machine model, which is close to the reality and carry through the simulation for the production design and the research of the AMB using the virtual prototype machine technology. In the paper, we have taken much count of the virtual prototype machine technology of the AMB.The paper summarizes the research precision work stage in China and other countries and the development trend of the AMB, and introduces the structure and the principle of the AMB. Based on it, three-dimensional geometry configuration model has been built by the SolidWorks. Using the virtual prototype machine technology, loading the bear load and restriction in the ADAMS in order to build the mechanical system model. The control system model the AMB has been also built in the MATLAB. The alternant simulation of the mechanical and control system model has been carried through the ADAMS/Controls and the MATLAB/Simulinks module.Using the virtual prototype machine technology, the paper makes an idea of building mathematic model through the mechanical configuration of the AMB, which makes the mechanical and control system model having the same model. The method is introduced for the virtual design of the AMBThe developing trend of the AMB in the future is researched based on the conclusion of the whole article in the end.
