Light-Guage steel joist structure is a new kind of Cold-formed steel structure. There are such many advantages as higher standardizing, assigning space flexible, good performance of the seismic resistant, industrialization producing, short Construction period, protecting environment and economizing energy sources etc. It has already developed for several dozens years in places such as North America, and obtained the widespread application. The building using the structure has been constructed just. Depending on the topic group of "Web Steel Construction System Engineering research" of the civil engineering and the building institute in Wuhan University of technical, I have researched on the bearing capacity under Vertical loadings of the wall in the web steel construction system..Web Light-Guage steel joist structure system (Web steel) which corned from Canada has been used mostly in low story residential building for 20 years in North America. It agrees our national estate policy applying Web steel to multiple-story residential building. This is a good future in China.Web steel wall's bearing capacity under vertical load's function is the key research of this article . The main work has:(1) Introduce present development and research situation of Cold-formed steel structure in domestic and abroad, and the calculation methods related the wall's bearing capacity under vertical load's(2) Research on composite wall's Stress characteristic, distortion characteristic and destruction pattern under vertical load function based on the. the wall experiment of bearing vertical load function. According to the keel's different destruction pattern, carries on the computation.(3) Obtains the major effect factors of the wall supporting capacity by analyzing the contrast of test result and theoretical calculation result, as the strength of a precaution, skin and so on at the vertical supporting capacity of columnsproposes computational method's serviceability in the domestic and foreign designs standard to this kind of structure system. Think that the civil method of the right type of cold-light steel structure does not apply here for the calculation of web steel wall. We can reference the North American methods used to calculating the Light-Guage steel joist structure, and advice the author's opinions to some parameter's revision in this computational methods.
