The Essential Factors And Suggestions For The Construction And Development Of Beijing Embassies' Area

This thesis aims to study the favorable conditions and the problems of the construction of Beijing embassies'area by investigating both the history of the construction of the embassies inside and outside of China and the current situation of Beijing embassies'area since founding of the People's Republic of China. Three essential factors are analyzed and eight suggestions of the problems are pointed out. Along with the fast social and economic development, some cities in China have more and more international economic cooperation projects. Thus, they need to plan or construct the consulates'areas. It is hoped that the above mentioned aspects and suggestions are helpful to other cities in their planning and building of the consulates'areas.The sources of the reference materials for study are from the national and international documents, internet and other concerned records. The methods of study and research involve many ways such as site investigation, drawing diagrams, analyzing data, calling in questions, concluding regularities etc. The thesis is divided into 8 chapters: 1. studying the experience of the foreign countries; 2. history of the development of Beijing embassies'area; 3. current conditions of the 1st, the 2nd and the 3rd embassies'areas; 4. current situation of the environment of the 4th embassy area in Wangjing; 5. comprehensive analyses of the essential factors of the embassy area development; 6. existing problems and its solutions; 7. predicted scale and the next working plan; 8. conclusions.The following three essential factors are analyzed: location selection, architectural design, security and anti-terrorism. Besides, eight suggestions on the further development and the protection of the characteristic style and features as well as the proper administration are pointed out.
