At the begging of the dissertation, the history of zoom lens has been reviewed. Readers can learn of the development of system's structure and the zoom method, and know the changing trend of them. Then it talks about the theory of zoom lens design. Base on it, the next chapter introduces the Gauss method of calculation the original structure of zoom system. On the other hand, it relies on the powerful function of computer-aimed optical design software, another better way of designing zoom lens. The way can afford the calculation the original structure and correct aberration excellently. Base on it, presents an example of the design of a Greenough type stereoscopic microscope object lens having a high zoom ratios. The last chapter discusses the method of fitting the design cam's curve, and presents an example of stereoscopic microscope object lens, there in before.In one word, the dissertation talks about two methods of designing zoom lens: Gauss calculation and Automatic optimization. Anther hand, it puts forward the design of the stereoscopic microscope object lens having a high zoom ratios.
