Research On Embedded Mobile Controller Based On ARM-WinCE

Along with the fast developing of embedded technology, more and more researchers apply embedded technology in development and realization of the numerical control system. In this paper, the current state of Open-Architecture CNC system and embedded technology is investigated and discussed, and the feasibility of designing Mobile Controller, which is based on ARM and Windows CE operating system using the idea of Mobile Controller CNC based on Web Services, is analyzed.Embedded Mobile Controller is researched in this paper, and the module of BootLoader in operating system is elaborated. BootLoader is a section program of operating system, which runs before kernel. When BootLoader is running, the hardware equipments are initialized and memory mapping chart is established. Moreover, the whole system software and hardware environment will be updated to an appropriate condition. Finally, operation system will be transferred by approving and arranging the appropriate environment, which is created by those procedures.The design and development of BootLoader in Mobile Controller, which are based on Windows CE and S3C2410 processor, has been presented in detail in this paper. Furthermore, the procedure that operation system is initialized has been analyzed emphatically. The overlapping development environment based on the host computer - target computer is introduced. Meanwhile, how to custom the BSP based on Windows CE and download the image of kernel to target computer is proposed in this paper. Ultimately, the model system of Embedded Mobile Controller is realized successfully.
