Energy Efficient Building Design With Computer Simulation Of Energy Consumption Of Design

Sustainable development of buildings involves the advance of energy-efficiency of buildings.Designing the buildings of energy-saving is all architects' incumbency. However, due to the absence of practicable tools, it's difficult for architects to analyze the buildings' energy consumption in the design process qualitatively and quantitatively. And it obstructs the progress of energy-efficiency of buildings in our country.In the first part, the writer analyzes the problems in the way of development of energy-efficiencybuildings. And on the basis of the relationship and joint points between design process and simulation of energy consumption, the concept of building design with simulation and analysis of energy consumption is put forward. Considering the phase and holistic character of designing, building design with simulation and analysis of energy consumption should be carried out aiming at differentphases with different feedbacks.The paper brings forward a kind of energy-saving design method on integration of architectural design with simulation and analysis of energy consumption for which fits the situation of China through two practical software—DTs and DSPs .The main idea is to separate the whole design process into two parts which are the design of architectural plan and the construction drawing design, and to choose different building energy simulation softwares on the basis of the characteristics in different process.The paper discuss methods on the integration of simulation of energy consumption and architecture design with the example of public buildings and housing buildings.In a word, this paper provides a practical and useful procedure for architects to design buildings with simulation and analysis of energy consumption and it will help them to design the real energy-saving buildings.
