SEAM is the abbreviate of sulphur extended asphalt modifier,it's a change of so many products of sulphur modifier for asphalt.There is a great strengthen use between sulphur and asphalt,and sulphut can also play a role of adihibit and fill.SEAM make the best of such points of sulphur so you say,it renovates the produce technics to bring the capability of SEAM into play,and make the production and construction easy at the same time.This paper take th capability of SEAM as the core,and research the theory of SEAM from the view of material science,in which found that SEAM may improve the intension and high temperature stability of bitumen mixer,so does the quality in low temperature and stability in the water.These come down to relations among sulphur,asphalt and rock.From the microcosmic analysis of interacts,investigation considers that the modifier theory of SEAM as the integrate present of"alloy theory"and"composite material theory".Based on the modifier theory of SEAM,this paper study the technics of SEAM,and found that SEAM mixture has particular needs on the production and construction mostly for the reason that sulphur can recede the asphalt mucosity adjust the production and construction technics of SEAM mixtures,that bring changes to operation temperature and pave frank.This paper summarize technics of production and construction,then found a set of criterions.Study also found that these changes in connection with the capability that sulphur can substitute asphalt make the economic performance of SEAM well,so that sometimes the cost of SEAM mixtures may be under the conmmon bitumen mixtures.Well the domino offect of energy sources and environment can bring great benefits to all the society.SEAM has not been large-scale in use in china yet,that main reason is the mistiness of the modifier theory of SEAM and the miss of criterion for use.This paper exert in these problems through a series of research and practice.
