This paper presents freedom rolling diaphragm for a research, using theories of finite element analysis, and applying nonlinear finite element analysis software ABAQUS to static and dynamic characters of air spring on the ground vibration test of large aerocraft, finally, the stiffness formula of two air spring using two additional air chamber which was joined together was put forward, and accordingly stiffness formula of n air spring using n additional air chamber was deduced.Firstly, this article started with work principles of air spring, and carried on detailed introduction to the modal structure of air spring and nonlinear finite element software ABAQUS. The rubber model and material parameter, the rate of change of the Rebar geometry and characteristics in the course of working, the gas-solid coupling between the gas elements and the rubber elements , the change of gas elements volume are deduced in detail by the finite element analysis before building model of air spring. Contact theory, the judge and converge of contact condition are also analyzed. The static and dynamic model of rolling diaphragm air spring are built using nonlinear finite element analysis software ABAQUS. This paper systematically discussed the influences of the static stiffness of air spring with a different beginning pressure, different Rebar angle, different Rebar space and different Rebar layer. And then, the dynamic stiffness of air spring was analyzed in different frequency of sine exciting. At last, the contents of air spring tests are introduced, and it is agreeable compared with the simulated results. This shows that the method in this article is reasonable, it is also applying to air spring of other styles, and providing theories basis and instruction meaning for the design of the new air spring.
