The air spring is an elastic member that utilizes the reaction force of the compressed air inside the rubber bladder as an elastic restoring force.Research on the mechanical properties of air springs will provide guidance for the development of high performance air springs.As an elastic element of automobile suspension,air springs are getting more and more attention and application due to their structural characteristics and their performance advantages over other conventional springs.With the improvement of living standards in China,people are paying more and more attention to the comfort of automobiles in the purchase of cars.At the same time,from the perspective of reducing road damage,the study of the mechanical properties of air springs has great practical significance.Air springs can solve the problems of ride comfort and road friendliness.In this article,ABAQUS finite element analysis software is used to study the air spring.the air spring produced by a certain enterprise is taken as the research object,and the stiffness,strength and frequency of the air spring are systematically studied by using the methods of finite element analysis,semi-analytical analysis and modal analysis.In the process of establishing the finite element model of air spring,the nonlinear problems involved in the air spring,the treatment of the skin part and the fluid-solid coupling phenomenon are theoretically analyzed.The main steps of the finite element analysis are also described,and through the test to verify the correctness of the analysis results.In the analysis of stiffness,the relationship between internal pressure,frequency and stiffness is obtained.In the analysis of strength,the strength of the components of the air spring under extreme conditions is obtained,which verifies the reliability of the product;In the analysis,the frequency value of the air spring under the tension and compression mode is obtained,which provides guidance for avoiding the design of resonance and elastic vibration of the vehicle body.As part of the company’s horizontal issues,the study of the mechanical properties of automotive air springs has solved some of the problems that have existed in the development of air springs.
