Now the ratio of diesel engine is becoming larger because of the advantage of diesel engine. To meet the increasingly stringent emission regulations and improve the fuel economy, the enhancement of injection pressure and the comprehensive flexible control to the injection characteristic are the tendency of the development of fuel injection system performance. The HPCRFIS can achieve the fuel injection system requirement, which including low emission, economy, high-pressure injection, flexible injection state and flexible pressure control. It represents the developing direction of fuel injection system for diesel.High pressure fuel pump is one of the most important parts in the HPCRFIS, it supply the high pressure fuel to the common rail, and it's character will influent the whole FPCRFIS, so it is necessary to optimize the character of the high pressure fuel pump.Based on related literature, this paper introduces the features and advantages of the high-pressure common rail fuel injection system and the domestic and foreign researches in detail. The functional parts and the performance theory of the high-pressure pump are analyzed. A mathematic model of high-pressure pump of FPCRFIS is created, according to the functional parts characteristic and their performance theory of this system.A calculation model of high pressure fuel pump for common rail injection system is set up by using the HYDSIM software developed by the AVL company. The results of the simulation agree with the fact. The effects of the structure of high pressure fuel pump for common rail injection system are studied by using the simulation model. And this paper finish the optimization design of the high pressure fuel pump at last.
