The Study On Human Centered Design Of The House For The Aged

With carrying out policy of family planning in recent 20 years, fertility rate has notably decreased, standard of living evidently has been improved, and average life of population has been gradually extended. It induces age structure of population to transform into aged people model. It also causes to pay social attention to fast development of population aging. Hence, adapted aging houses have received increasing attention in recent years for their advantages in improving quality of life, and for achieving social requirement and social responsibility.Human centered design in housing facilities was explored for physiological and psychological requirement of aging people in accordance with analysis of Chinese elder community. This study originally presented human factors dimension of Chinese elder people in a state of nature and summarized a series of properties of Chinese elder community. This dimension can be expressed as criteria of indoor facility design and favor the whole design to meet the characteristics of Chinese elder community. The objective of the present investigation was to increase the knowledge about the development of adapted Chinese aging house.
