In gabled frame, the profiled sheet that is used as enclostrue structure can resist shearforce in its plane.the re-shear ability of the profiled sheet in the plane is called effect ofskin diaphragms. The panels not only increase the whole rigidity of structure, decrease thedeformation,but also constrain the construction members, decrease or cancel bracings,evendecrease area of the construction members . So, considering the ability of resistance toshear of profiled sheet in the plane itself, not only reflect the working of structure but alsoobtain benefit.Although a lot of research and experiments on the performance of stressed skin havebeen carried out in the western countries and China, but the past research work was mostlyfocused on skin diaphragms, while there was hardly any research and experiment on thebuildings with clad structure as a whole. Besides, conventional gabled frame considerseffect of skin diaphragms only when the sheets can not silp on purline ,while gabled framewith temperature compesation (the sheet can slip on the puline ) ,such as MR-24 roofsystem ,usually ignores effect of skin diaphragms. The paper use the finite element analysissoftware "ANSYS" to analysis spatial static behavior of gabled frame whose roof considertemperature compesation.Considering geometric nonlinear and slippage nonlinear, gabledframe with effect of skin diaphragms and one without effect of skin diaphragms arecompared with each Other, then the distribution law of internal force and deformation ofskin diaphragms is discovered.First, through "ANSYS", Select the appropriate unit and set up the models of MR-24roof skin and connection, then analyze their shear strength in their own plane.On the basisof results above, set up the spatial models with effect of skin diaphragms. By comparingthe results of analysis of the models and calculation of British Standard,verify the accuracyof the method above.Second, comparing gabled frame with effect of skin diaphragms and one without effectof skin diaphragms, it is verified that gabled frame can consider effect of skin diaphragms.Then it is analyzed that factors of the thickness of the panel, theλof the column ,thesection of the bracings and the fringe members,which influence law of deformation andinternal force .Then good suggestions are provided for design of the stressed skindiaphragm structure ,and good basis is made for the further research of the stressed skindiaphragm structure.
