Belt Conveyor is continual motion machine of side less conveying articles. It's structure is very simple, and has low cost, long distance transport and very high productivity. It is mainly used in metallurgy, mining, coal, power plant and industrial enterprises. With the continual development of modern industry science and technology, the belt conveyor is become more important in industrial production. The fixed belt conveyor and the steel-cored belt conveyor have a most wide application in series. From TD60, TD62, TD72 to TD75, TD75 and DX type update DTII-A belt conveyor at present. TD75 and DX type belt conveyor have developed design and select system. But DTII-A belt conveyor's design method have a great different with former belt onveyor. DTII-A belt conveyor's compute ways adopted ISO international standard on conveyor main parameter, run power, tensive computer etc. In order to meeting market development, it is important for DTII-A belt conveyor to do computer aided design.The CAD system is divided into two parts, the selecting-type and calculate part, the parameter drawing part. The selecting-type and calculate system aimd at various disposed mode including level transit, upwards transit, downwards transit, changed-grade transit. It have realized result compared and balanced analysis and optimized choice to get appropriate select-type components. Finishing select-type, it could creat belt conveyor assemble drawing along with conveyor list and technique request.The CAD system is working in design handbook on DTII-A belt conveyor, based on the systematical analysis and study of selecting design theory for belt conveyor and mechanical CAD technology, this system combined work condition of belt conveyor to abstract design model, is using VBA language, DAO accesses database, and ActiveX technology provided by AutoCAD. The CAD system could realize multifunction, such as automation selecting-type, calculate, check and parameter drawing.The system realized automatic procedure of the whole design process of DTII-A belt conveyor selection and drawing. It makes use of computer to finish many boring calculations, checking tables, drawing jobs so that it can shorten the design period, lighten work intensity and enhance design quality. It also get positive comparing and evaluating to output result. The method would become a reference to analogous projects.
