Along with the increasing of residential areas, the water environment system, including Water supply and drainage system, Rainwater system, Graywater system, Scenical water system, Water-saving and water management system, is attracting increasing attention.By the guidance of the theory of sustainable development and the principles of holism, harmony, regeneration and circulation, from the standpoint of ecology, the ecological recyling pattern of water environment system in ecological residential area is presented and evaluated. The possibility to make use of rainwater and graywater is discussed in this paper. Techniques for rainwater collection and using, intermediate water reuse, scenical water protection, water-saving in residential area, the establishment of water supplying and drainage system and the management of water utilization are espically discussed. Based on the principles and the analysis of water multi-purpose utilization system in Hefei, the water environment assessment indicators system in Hefei ecological residential area is setted up. The weights of assessment indicators are caculated with AHP, and the comprehensive assessment for indicator system is based on Multilayer Fuzzy Synthetical Appraisement.Based on water quantity balance analysis, a water environment system in an ecological residential area in Hefei is designed. And the corresponding technical, economical analysis and assessment is performed. The results show that the development of ecological recyling system of water in residential areas will have not only a good economic, but also a tremendous environment, resources and social benefits. The system is avalible surely in many residential areas.
