Study On Application Of ISO 9000 Quality Management Systems In Construction Vocational College

The quality and efficiency come out of excellent management, which has become the decisive factor for the survival and development of construction vocational college. Like an enterprise, a construction vocational college is an organization, consisting of staff members and having a system. The objective of quality management is to allocate the staff and its resources rationally, activate the initiative and creativity of the staff, get the staff to adjust to the environment, and provide service of best quality. Therefore, there exist some common laws as to the quality management between an enterprise and a construction vocational college. The IS09000 system and its concepts , have embodied some laws of quality management. The 2000 version, in particular, as a process- oriented model, describes all products through process. During the process, customer's demand is regarded as a sort of input and the extent of the customer is monitored , which is used to check whether the customer's demand has been met.Since 1992, in order to make teaching quality more secure and teaching & management model more internationalized, many colleges and universities in China have begun to apply this standard to the management system of teaching quality. It plays an important role in promoting quality-oriented education, creating excellent learning and teaching atmosphere and establishing prominent educational brands.The certification of educational quality is, in essence, a set of quality standard agreed upon in advance through expert assessment, which is eventually aimed at gaining a reliable acceptance of the society. It is necessary for a higher vocational college to establish a set of effective system of internal quality guarantee and monitor in accordance with ISO9000 clusters. ISO9000 clusters put special emphasis on the following two items. That is to write down what I should do, to do what I have written down, to record what I have done, to be responsible for what I have recorded.Considering the current tendency of educational development nationwide, we should focus on how to deal with ISO9000 rather than on wondering whether it can be applied to college management, integrating advanced managerial concepts and methods with educational management.Getting the staff to be better aware of management, quality, and service is the key to the sustainable development of a construction vocational college. Therefore, it would be advisable we integrate the basic principles on quality guarantee with the Eight Principles and PDCA theory, striving for establishing a rather complete, goal-oriented circulatory system that can adjust all the internal factors autonomously and promote the development of the construction vocational college.
