As there is no development of domestic mobile assisted products for the disabled persons in our country, this paper designs a practical rail lift as well as its performance test system. The mechanical components are the most important parts with effective distribution through the choice of stepper motor, worm gear and belt pulley. This Paper focus on the design of the control system, the stepper motor drive system uses chip L297 and L298 with the Chopper constant current breakdown drive methods. The control system also contains a battery management system which uses the chip UC3909 realizing four paragraphs lead-acid battery recharge and uses SOC detection algorithm based on the chip DS2438 to achieve the remaining battery power consumption estimation. In addition, a completed lift performance test system has been developed according to the requirements of GB completed which contains take-off and landing speed, static load and dynamic load, life expectancy, manipulating power, braking distance, noise and battery power measurement and a test software uses a database to preserve, search and manage the test data.
