Evaluation of asphalt pavement performance is one of the most important part in pavement manage system (PMS), which is also a frontier topic involving many subjects and complicated questions in pavement research. It is not only the combination of analysis and decision in PMS, but also the basis for pavement manager to make decision. As for the complexity of evaluation, it is difficult for conventional models and optimization which to analyse practical asphalt pavement performance. In this dissertation, principal component analysis and Game theory combined with classical method are used, which aim at riching and improving the modeling of asphalt pavement performance evaluation.The key points of asphalt pavement performance evaluation are the weight determination of road performance index and array of road sections with different performance level. These two basic questions are considered in this dessertation. Subjective weight determining which is analytical hierarchy process combined with expert cooperation game and objective weight determining which is principal component analysis combined with linear programming techniques (PCA-LINMAP) are used for multidimension analysis of pavement performance. The results of those evaluation methods and the differences are compared, and the causes of the differences are also studied.From the results it can be found that PCA-LINMAP model is more suitable for the evaluating asphalt pavement with great discreteness of certain index. Moreover, PCA-LINMAP model can not only determine the index weight objectively, but also help find the principal components which affect the pavement performance. As for evaluation of pavement with little discreteness of index, the Nash Equilibrium Theory of game theory is quite effectual. For weights judged by experts, the superiority combination is achieved by adding sigel weitht decided by Shapley valures according to cooperative game theory. For the subjective & objective evaluation method, the cooperative game theory for methods is used to integrate the advantages of each method.The evaluation methods introduced in this dissertation can be applied in different areas, and the results are close to those required in specifications, which are important for making decision of pavement engineering.
