Asphalt Pavement because of a unique advantage in the Pavement occupy very important position, but in actual use but there are many technical and quality problems, such as early seriously damaged, and life under the surface of the low, serious cracking and rutting , which put on the road builders of a more severe challenges.With high altitude areas in Yunnan highway construction, in recent years due to local seasonal freezing and thawing of the reasons for that is its special climate and environment, making construction of the road appeared in the process of engineering problems and the use of the early damage phenomenon is more obvious. In this paper, high-altitude area of Yunnan typical road damage on the basis of investigation on these issues in depth study and exploration of seasonal frozen in the cold cracking asphalt pavement is particularly common, therefore, to explore low-temperature asphalt pavement cracking solution is of great significance. Low-temperature cracking is a multi-the result of complex factors, the practice should be a systematic perspective, considering the properties of materials and components, from the asphalt choice ore grade material optimization, with the angle of design research. This paper only graded optimization study start and try to improve the cracking asphalt pavement performance, taking into account high temperature stability.Because of its geographic and climatic conditions, high altitude areas in Yunnan Asphalt Pavement disease than other, more complex, especially their own characteristics. Based on research results from both at home and abroad on the basis of high-altitude area of Yunnan with special climatic conditions, analysis of the material in the asphalt pavement in high altitude adaptation, in accordance with asphalt pavement performance requirements, in the light of the asphalt mixture at home and abroad grade of the three kinds of typical grade-mix asphalt and three percent of the asphalt mixture to a series of road performance research, study selection, and ultimately find a suitable high-altitude area of Yunnan asphalt pavement materials.
