The Research On Individuation Of Bicycle Styling

The costumers'needs are more complex and diverse with the development of technology and living quality. Bicycles developed very quickly since the day it borne at 1818. nowadays, there have several kinds of bicycles, and their styling and functions are different between each other. The use of bicycle are developing from riding just instead of walk, to entertainment, exercise, sports, collection etc.The level of bicycle technology and design today is much higher than 1980's. more and more corporation pay attention to the individuation of their products.Bicycle styling is different from other products, its form follows its function. And, styling individuality has its direction aim to the market. We can measure it with certain science dimensions. In the thesis, we research the costumer's cognitive style, and establish a model about the costumers purchased bicycles, there are several external factors that will affect the costumers'behavior: Culture, stratum, geography. Also there are the subjective factors: motivation, consumptive idea, attitude, character, temperament. The kind of bicycle is decided by costumers'motivation, consumptive idea and attitude. The style of bicycle is decided by costumer's character and temperament.In the design method about bicycle, we analyse the target costumer colony, and classify the motivation about purchasing bicycles. We extablish two models to research the individuation measure about bicycle. One is base on using context, another is base on the form style. Througt these models, we can evaluate the bicycle style, and analyse the costumer's satisfaction about the bicycle design.At the end of the thesis, we discussd the theory throught a bicycle design case.
