Base on analyzing the trend of traditional regress of the modern landscape architecture design, discusses how to integrate the traditional folk house element with the modern garden design.According to zone, Sichuan folk house element is classified east, south, west and north. Space structure, construct technology, decoration, material, color, art format and style of the four zones are compared and classified.The trend of traditional regress of the modern garden design embodies indigenization and district character, which garden design should have the character of culture, nation and territory. The landscape architecture design ought to utilize the culture character and element of national folk house, furthermore, make it integrate with the modern garden design enough. Only do this, the design has take on bright vision and regional humanities spirit.There are two examples in this paper which apply Sichuan folk house element to landscape architecture design, one is the lotus Han city in Sichuan Mianyang, the other is exhibition room of DengXiaoping former residence. Then, Sichuan folk house element is used in the thermae project in Tumen town of Mianzhu city and the China gingkgo ditch in Mianzhu. So three application modes of the folk house element are concluded: the first is copy and manufacture of folk element, the second is abstract and compose of it, the last is find new design idea from folk element.How to use folk residence element in landscape architecture design should comprehend humanities character of Sichuan folk residence element, and understand the mode of relation of space-society.
