In modern sea warfare, the application of precision guided weapon increases flooding probability of damaged ship. When warship is flooded, the floating state and stability always go bad. It is a direct threat to warship. Therefore, research on calculation method for identification of flooding and damage stability is meaningful to practical application in timely and effectively to save and restore warship. With the background of the engineering project this thesis analyzes typical methods of damaged stability calculation, puts forward a nonlinear programming method to calculate the identification of flooding location, establishes the compartment information visualization system, and perfect the function of real-time calculation software for damage stability.The main contents are as followings:(1) Using the ship's hydrostatical theory, nonlinear programming is applied on identification of flooding location, and a calculation model for identification location is established. The flooding location can be calculated without or with liquid level detector. In the optimal model, absolute value of righting level is taken as the objective function, displacement force remaining constant, and four variables of flooding weight and flooding barycenter. Nonlinear programming is used to set up an optimization model to calculate.(2) The importance of application of visualization technology in compartment information system is discussed. Aim at the warship damage control drawings and graph don't satisfy the need of fast displaying and searching, compartment information visualization system is established by using visual basic 6.0. This system has a good man-machine alternate interface with the function of displaying and searching compartment arrangement.(3) The software of real-time calculation for warship damage stability with perfect function is integrated with the intact stability and damage stability calculation module. The weight center of the ship is calculated and the current loading condition is clear. The following calculation includes the intact and damaged ship's floating states, initial stability, large inclining angle stability and anti-wind capability. All the above work is helpful for the commander to make appropriate measures to modify the damaged warship's floating state.
