Based on the demands of Chinese railway development at present and in the future, the Ministry of Railways proposed Chinese Train Control System(CTCS) which consists of five application levels, from level 0 to level 4. Currently CTCS-2 system has been applied on several Dedicated Passenger Lines (DPL), the CTCS-3 system requirement specification and and key techniques suitable for DPL are under research.The establishment of the CTCS-3 simulation and testing platform is based on system structure of CTCS3 and SRS, FRS of ETCS-2. This master thesis focuses on the research on trackside simulator and multi-train simulator which are parts of the CTCS-3 simulation and testing platform. The works of this thesis are summarized as following:Analyzing the architecture of the CTCS3 simulation and testing platform, as well as the function and interface requirement of the subsystems; aanalyzing and designing the basic function of trackside simulator, including simulating the function of balise and track circuit, displaying the line layout and the running trains; analyzing and designing the data structure of multi-train simulator; designing and realizing the basic function of multi-train simulator, including managing train running according to train running diagram, simulating the key functions of on-board equipment, providing basic data for the CTCS3 simulation and testing platform. Designing and realizing the communication interface among trackside simulator, multi-train simulator, and other simulator or subsystems. Summaring and analyzing the debugging process of the CTCS3 simulation and testing platform.
