With train speed been constantly raising on existing main line and the construction of dedicated passenger line, it is urgent to develop high performance train control system to guarantee train operation safety and efficiency. According to the experience of European Train Control System (ETCS), Chinese railway has proposed the Chinese Train Control System (CTCS). Nowadays, CTCS2 has been adopted to upgrade the existing main lines, and the research and development of CTCS3 is on tight schedule, So it is necessary to build a CTCS-3 simulation and testing platform for the evaluation of system design, system integration and the test of key components.This master thesis gives a brief introduction to the CTCS3 simulation and testing platform, including system architecture, subsystem functionality and interface requirements among subsystems. This thesis focuses on the study of microcomputer based interlocking subsystem to achieve the purpose of simulating the interlocking system of multiple stations in one Windows application program which is developed with C++ Builder 6.0.The major achievements of this thesis include the modeling of station layout, the realization of interlocking functionality such as route selection, route locking and route release, preparing route according to orders from CTC field equipment and sending route status to RBC according to route request from RBC, simulating of occupation of station track circuits based on information from trackside device simulation subsystem. Other functions such as drawing of station layout, MMI and multi-station management are also realized.Meanwhile, this thesis gives a detailed description of the data structure of interlocking simulation platform, the working principle of functional modules as well as working flow of simulation program. Several key techniques applied in the simulation platform such as MDI and multi-threading are briefly introduced.Currently, the development of the microcomputer based interlocking simulation system has been finished, which can be connected with other subsystems of the CTCS3 simulation and testing platform to achieve the design objectives.
