The Application Of CIS Into The Image Design Of Townlets

As the important component of town system, the development of townlets is drawn attention by the whole society. The image of townlets affects the future development. At present, there are 2 misleading phenomena in the image design of townlets: All the townlets are aimed at the similar image without their own characteristics. Under the background of market economy, the ordinary image of townlets will lead to missing opportunities of development, on the one hand. Rectifying the image too much gives negative influence, on the other hand. The dissertation attempts to apply the CIS(Corporate Identity System )into the image design of townlets , which is called TIS(Townlet Identity System).Chapter one summarizes the related research on the image design domestically and internationally. The purpose, the research method, significance and the structure of the dissertation are also illustrated in the first chapter.Chapter two defines the related conceptions. By contrasting the Corporate Identity System and City Identity System, the chapter analyzes the definition of TIS, 3 elements (Mind Identity ,Behavior Identity ,Visual Identity ) , application time, application principles and application sequence.Chapter three is a case study of Rongshui Miao Minority autonomous county investigating the present resources by means of literatures and questionnaire. The questionnaire is very important to Rongshui's TIS.In chapter four, the locality research and local culture are represented by graph. Some useful aspects are extracted from the architectural elements and their expression, villages'location, folk customs and festival culture of Rongshui County for reference to guide the design of MI, BI and VI of townlets.Chapter five probes into the TIS's application into Rongshui Miao Minority autonomous county. .
