The Inspection And The Optimum Design Of Reinforcement Of Steel Structure Building

With the fast economic development in China, the number of new factory buildings increases rapidly. Steel structures have been widely used from home and abroad because of the outstanding merits, such as efficient construction speed, light in weight, good anti-seismic performance, and beneficial to the environment, etc. Meanwhile, many practices that do not conform to the specifications take place during the period of design, manufacture or construction of steel-structure buildings, weakening the structural safety, applicability and durability. In this paper, some conducts unmeet to the specifications are expounded according to the inspection to this factory building, and corresponding strengthening proposals are also raised.Theories of steel-structure inspection and assessment are researched in this paper, and based on the theoretical analysis, the health examination index for existing steel structure buildings is established. Then the present technical measures which can be used for steel building structure's inspecting and monitoring have been proposed.In the next work, according to the actual condition of this project, after necessary materials' collection, inspection to this structure is reported in detail in this paper.Based on the result of inspection of this structure and the requirement of related specifications, the departments which don't conform to the specifications or may weaken safety are pointed out, and corresponding upgrading proposals are put forward. According to an overall consideration of various factors, such as feasibility, the period of construction, impact on the operation of this factory and economic cost, the most suitable reinforcement plan is determined to respective structural system, and the corresponding reinforcement effect is verified.At the part of conclusion and forecast, a brief discussion is carried out on the places often lead to problems during design and construction.
