Research On Green Design Method Oriented To Customer Requirements

Along with the deterioration of environment and with people's increasing consciousness of protecting environment, the environmental pressure of product design increased rapidly, as a result, green design developed quickly. And it is true that customer requirement is the main drive of product green design, and to satisfy customer requirement is the designer's final aim. So the designer should attach importance to the matter of how putting customer requirement into the process of product design.The range of customer has been extended as the world and design theory's advancing, and customer requirement is also extended accordingly. This paper brought the public people, related rules/laws, environment, product designer and producer into the concept of customer, and put forward a broad sense concept of customer, then analyzed the characteristics of their requirement.This paper researched the process of green design oriented to customer requirements; and constructed a requirement template to help the designer collecting customers' requirement (especially the environmental requirement), meanwhile some standardization work has been done to deal with the item, the level and the weight of customer requirement. The configure method of CBR was introduced to help forming a scheme of green design as to the product that can configured easily; otherwise, using an improved Quality Function Deployment tool to carry out the transformation from the customer requirement to the product character, then employed the tool of improved TRIZ to eliminate the conflicts which appeared during green design process, finally made a green design scheme and estimated it.It is very important taking green design method oriented to customer requirements into the process of product design. It can help the designer making a better design scheme which can satisfy customization requirement as well as achieves the purpose of protecting the environment.
