Based on the status quo and development trend of higher professional education in China and characteristics of the students in professional colleges, and with the features of higher professional education and the theories of cultivating goals and the specific cultivating goals of electrical engineering major, a series of Countermeasures relevant to the reform of electrical teaching are put forward in higher professional colleges: emancipating thinking, renewing concepts and deepening the reform of electrical teaching; establishing electrical and electronic modular of teaching system to suit to the requirements of higher professional education; strengthening the construction of practical and experimental bases to explore new ways of teaching practice actively; reforming traditional classroom-based teaching model to heighten students' interest in their major and improve their operation capacity; reforming examination and assessment methods to improve students' capacity and skills; improving teaching methods and teaching means to teach students to solve problems by themselves; enhancing the experimental teaching, reforming and improving experimental methods, paying attention to the capability of students training. This study is designed to come up with practical, constructive and feasible Countermeasures which suit to electrical engineering teaching in professional colleges to solve the problems of electrical engineering teaching and even teaching of other majors in professional colleges better.
