Study On The Evaluation Of Operation Of Railway Marshalling Station

The marshalling station is an important component of railway transportation enterprise, and its operation work is to organize and coordinate the transportation, production and the production activity of each subsystem of marshalling station so as to guarantee the railway operate uninterruptedly, safely and rhythmically as well as the railway network smoothly. With the development of railway industry, the marshalling station system internal and external environment's change exerts great influence on the marshalling station's operation work. The present marshalling station operation work evaluation system can not adapt the needs of marshalling station operation management. In order to improve the management level of marshalling station, find a scientific and reasonable kind of evaluation methods to make an objective assessment of operation work and improve the efficiency of marshalling sation, the thesis discusses the evaluation of operation of railway marshalling station under the non-equilibrium transportation.Firstly, applying the theory of system engineering and scientific investigation methods, general characteristics and main factors of influencing marshalling stations operation are analyzed and marshalling station capacity calculation method under the non-equilibrium transportation are discussed. Secondly, applying the fuzzy ISODATA clustering analysis based on the objective function to classify the marshalling station again. Each kind of the marshalling station is similar in the objective condition of connection section, train travel line distribution characteristic, traffic flow magnitude and structure. Thirdly, the index system of comprehensive evaluation of marshalling stations operation under the non-equilibrium transportation is put forward. The index system including the quantitative index, qualitative index, efficiency target, security target, benefit index and production investment index can reflect the present situation of marshalling station operation work comprehensively. Fourthly, the evaluation model based on the fuzzy DEA which makes up the identified DEA model is built and then the model is applied to evaluate the operation work of the I and II kind marshalling station. At last, the operation work improved model of marshalling station based on the fuzzy DEA is built and then applied to evaluate the improvement of the operation work of the Xiangtangxi marshalling station.
