The Study Of Water Resources Carrying Capacity On Sustainable Development

Water resources is a kind of basic natural resources,one of the control factors of ecological environment,which is a strategic economic resources. It is an organic part of comprehensive national strength. Discussing national strategy of water resources for the 21st and the related problems are the key issues cared by the whole world at present. Water resources carrying capacity is a concent of water resources sustainable development study, which is a basic measurement of water resources security system and plays a very important role in recognizing management and building water resources utilities.On the basis of full analysis of research actuality in China and abroad,this thesis probes into the necessity and significance of water resources carrying capacity analysis, investigates the basic and supporting theory of water resources, analyzes systematically the connotation and influential faction of water resources carrying capacity with the emphasis on coherence of definitions and quantified assessment results. Exhibits water resources carrying capacity for populations, social-economy and eco-environment by degree of satisfaction and probability of realization, and involves eco-environment system into direct carrying object of water resources.It is pointed out that quantification method of water resources carrying capacity may be expressed by quantified indices and realization degree of carrying,and it also analyzes the calculation method of quantification. And applies DEA(Data Envelopment Analysis) method to evaluation of water resources carrying capacity and takes 9 drainage areas in 2003 and 2004 as an example, discussing the corresponding carrying capacity among 9 drainage areas. The results showed the diversity of technology and scale in utilizing water resources. The result of study may provide some references to the further research in these drainage areas.At last, started from resources, technology, structure, economy and management, method and strategy from improvement water resources carrying capacity are illustrated corresponding to water resources carrying capacity analytic frame.
