| A substation protection system based on a centralized computer system was flstly raised in the 1970's. Though the concept fits well with the concept of an overall integrated protection, the idea has not been put into practice thus far since the computer hardware/software and the communication technology were not available to support such an idea. Now, substation microcomputer-based protection systems use the distribution automation protection which is one to one. This system has the problem of more hardware, cost irrational and less reliability and so on.This paper presents a new centralized protection system for a substation, and detailed discussion and design on the struct of the system, searching for a new way in substation protection system. At the beginning, on the basis of analyzing the ptotection principle of the substation, making sure the aim of the system, presenting the proposed schem for the integrated protection. Then a total centralized protection scheme based on microprocessor technology and standard communication protocol is further described, including the requirements of the centralized protection relay (with rapid data operating speed, bulky storage and strong reliability), communication network and the interface unit. Next, gives a brief introduction to the character of embedded real time operating systems, introduced a RTOSμC/OS-Ⅱ, and ported it to ADSP21060 board by writing some hardware-associated code. Based on the general process, the project of the centralized protection software platform task partition, scheduling, and communication is presented. The design thought, design block diagram and design realization of regular task based on Embedde building blokes are also discussed. Lastly, contrast the reliability and cost of centralized protection and distribution automation protection.Studies shows that the new scheme of centralized protection system for traction substation, which supported by microprocessor, transducer and communication technologies, not only user friendly but also cost effective. |
