With the development of embedded technology, embedded Micro-processor is applied to more and more electronic measure devices of the industrial control measure system areas. In recent years, with the ARM(Advanced RISC Machine)embedded Micro-processor technology development quickly, 32 Micro-processor application become the more extensive in the embedded areas for its high performance, small size, low power consumption.In the thesis, the hand intelligent terminal system consists of two parts: S3C44B0X Micro-processor; uClinux operation system on the Micro-control areas designing, base on the Linux development environment. Embedded system network applications in the industrial measure are introduced, for improving hands intelligent terminal system measure devices overall performance.In the paper, firstly, the conception, structure and characteristics of embedded system are introduced; subsequently Linux, uClinux and ARM among relation are discussed, after the status and trend characteristics of Linux operating system are analyzed.Subsequently, the hardware platform of the target system is analyzed. Then, characteristics, selection of embedded Micro-processor and external it chips are analyzed.Operating system guarantees the processing ability of the embedded system. So the paper introduces the conception of Bootloader, and also the popular Bootloader—U-Boot's process started, structure and transplant to the target system are analyzed. The paper introduces the components, cuts down and cross-compiles of the uClinux kernel, discusses the transplant of ARM-uClinux to the target system and sets up root file system. It realizes work environment of Linux nulti-user multi-task.Meanwhile, it not only analyses network functions of the target system, but also introduces network communication realization. It fully reflects the Linux powerful netwok.In the last section of the thesis, the experimental results show the debugging and writing U-Boot on the flash of the system, debugging and downloading uClinux on the system. File network transmission between target system and host are introduces.
