Semi-rigid base asphalt pavement is one of the primary structures for main road in our country. In recent years, along with semi-rigid base asphalt pavement being built and operated cosmically, we find rather difference between traffic-load bearing capability and the design value for some pavement structure in actual operation. Many pavement structures get widespread distress, but jinwei road in Tianjin province still keep in the good condition after bearing hundreds of million accumulated equivalent load times. Directed against above appearance, this paper analyzes traffic-load adaptability of semi-rigid base asphalt pavement, basing on the actual observes dates of pavement performance.First, this paper analyzes the traffic characteristic of road network and the holistic using condition of pavement in Tianjin. Analyze the relationship between pavement distress, roughness, strength condition and traffic-load for six typical pavement structures, according to the detection dates of pavement condition, dates of repairing and survey dates of wheel testing station in past years of Tianjin. Analyze the different using performance of two kinds of pavements structures of jinwei road under the same traffic, get the inherent cause of its excellent performance.Divide pavement into five grades, according to evaluation indicator and evaluation method of pavement using quality in maintenance technical specifications. Combining the law of pavement performance of six typical pavement structure, analyze the traffic-load bearing between the five grades, according to the pavement distress, roughness, strength condition apart. Summarize the traffic-load adaptability of semi-rigid base asphalt pavement.Give recommended structures for newly build and rebuild under different traffic grades, according to the actual using performance of six typical pavement structures.
