Study On Several Issues Of Community Traffic Impact Analysis

The Traffic Impact Analysis (TIA) was first born in the USA in 1970s, and was widely applied abroad. We China also stated the Traffic Impact Analysis application since 1991. So far, many experts have researched on many aspects of the TIA, such as the Threshold, the influence extent, the traffic amount forecast, the traffic influence level and so on. They did their best to establish the scientific procedure, the content, the analysis method and the standard of the TIA.By controlling the land utilization intensity which was the origin of the transportation, the Traffic Impact Analysis can solve traffic congestion. The TIA has been paid great importance to, and has been applied in many land developing objects, like traffic center, commercial buildings, tourism place and residential objects. Community was the origin and destination place of people's daily lives, and was the source that urban traffic happened. The rule of residence land transport occurrence was extremely different from other character using of land. With the raising of our country's urbanization level, the urban population and housing land increased sharply, and there were much residential land had been exploited. A number of city demanded that Traffic Impact Analysis must be carried on, when the community development achieved a certain scale. However, the TIA system is still not perfect, different cities were various in the content, threshold value, and other aspects of the TIA. And also every city has its own background, the indicator of TIA were different, so we cannot copy other cities' TIA system completely either.This thesis summarized the recent research situation of the Traffic Impact Analysis in the domestic and foreign countries, and proposed that we should carry on the standardization work of the TIA, by referencing the Environment Impact Analysis.By analysis other cities' threshold, gave the TIA threshold value which was suitable for Xi'an community exploit. The thesis researched on the motive and static traffic organization of the community, and proposed the parking number of the community in Xi'an. Considering the subway's building which may bring big influences to people's daliy life, so the thesis proposed that we should take medium and long term analysis in xi'an commraity TIA. Finally the thesis applied the TIA to the Gubaqiao community in Xi'an, took this community as an example, for the purpose to provide a reference for Xi'an city's community object's TIA.
